RS: Was it rough on your wife and sons to be at home, watching you go through withdrawal?
BJA: I kept it away from my sons pretty good. My dogs kept looking at me, wondering how I'm doing. They can sense that stuff. I could have gone to a facility, but this way I could be around my loved ones. And my wife doesn't drink. Never has. She doesn't like the taste or the smell.
RS: Was she your nurse as well?
BJA: No. I had a nurse that came in and made sure I wasn't having seizures and stuff like that. But Adrienne is a strong woman. She knew the deal. I'm sure it was rough for her to see me going through this. At the same time, I think it's safe to say there were some choices she had to make.
"My relationship with Green Day’s lead singer Billie Joe is a full on ‘bromance’… but I’ve been known on certain very overly excitable evenings to become really close to making out with his wife. So explain that if you will! I’m a devout homosexual but she gives me heterosexual panic."
